Analyst

ALcontrol offers extensive analytical water testing capabilities for both drinking water and environmental water samples. Our purpose built laboratories enable us to offer the highest standards to our clients throughout the UK and Ireland.

We are currently recruiting for Analysts to work within the microbiology laboratory in Bradford. The roles will report to the Senior Analyst.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:-

• To be trained and able to perform methodologies or other techniques to the required standards.
• To be aware of Health and Safety policy and conform to safe working procedures, ensuring all precautions are followed to maintain the safety of yourself and others.
• To comply with the company’s Environmental policy.
• To be aware of and conform to the Quality system and the associated quality control checks carried out by the laboratory.
• To update and maintain all work records within remit, notifying laboratory management of any anomalies.
• To report any faults in relevant equipment and ensure it is fit for purpose.
• To carry out any reasonable duties specified by the line manager.

Qualifications/Experience:-

• Be able to work flexibly during weekday evenings and weekends as required.
• A science qualification (preferably in a biology subject) to A Level standard, or equivalent would be essential.
• To be able to work well in a team, with an open, honest and approachable attitude.
• To be efficient, methodical and have a good aptitude for detail.
