Laboratories & Service Centres
As a leading environmental laboratory ALcontrol strives to deliver reliability and quality. This is realised through the knowledge that our personnel have built up over the years and by using the latest analytical methods with sophisticated analytical instrumentation.
The quality of results is also established through personal attention and maintaining a strict and ambitious internal quality management system.
We are accredited to both ISO 17025 and MCERTS for soils, with a team of four full time staff employed in supporting and maintaining our Quality System. We were the first laboratory in the UK to be awarded MCERTS for soils, and all our methods are validated using MCERTS criteria and protocols. Click on Quality & Accreditation for further information.
The primary process associated with the laboratory can be divided into 7 steps, all strictly managed by internal control systems. The steps are as follows:
• customer order
• transport of samples by temperate controlled vans and/or validated transport cooling boxes
• sample registration at the laboratory
• sample preparation
• sample analyses
• result validation
• reporting
At our Hawarden site, samples and test results are managed and controlled by the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This enables us to monitor the process and, in addition, provides the management tools to achieve a lean production platform.
Our Dublin site offers personal service for all our Irish customers, and covers Sales & Marketing, sample collection, scheduling, reporting, and technical support.
